This policy explains what personal information thepestcontrolbrief.com collects, why, and who we share it with. The site is published by CT Strategic Partners LLC (“we”, “us”).
What we collect
When you request quotes
If you use our find-a-pro form, we collect your zip code, the pest problem, the type of property, how soon you need help, your name, your phone number and/or email address, and anything you write in the details box. We also record the date and time, the page you came from, your IP address and your agreement to be contacted.
When you contact us
If you use the form on our contact page, we collect your name, email address and message.
When you browse
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. We do not currently use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or social media pixels. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
How we use it
- To pass your quote request to pest control companies that serve your area, so they can contact you about it.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To prevent spam and abuse of our forms.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping a record of your consent to be contacted.
Who we share it with
Pest control companies. When you submit a quote request, we share it with up to three pest control companies, or a network that connects us to them, serving your zip code. They may contact you by phone, text or email about your request. Each company handles your information under its own privacy policy.
Service providers. Our web host and email provider process data on our behalf to run the site and deliver messages.
Legal reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
Companies may pay us for quote requests. Under some state privacy laws, sharing personal information in exchange for payment can count as a “sale”. We share your request only when you ask us to by submitting the form. We do not sell or share information from contact messages.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and messages for up to 24 months, and a record of consent for as long as the law requires, then delete them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can opt out of any further sharing. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with privacy laws, you may have additional rights. We will not treat you differently for using them. To make a request, use the contact form and choose “Privacy request”. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.
To stop calls or texts from a pest control company, tell that company directly. To stop texts, reply STOP.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
Requests and messages are sent over an encrypted connection and stored in a password-protected system. No method of storage is perfectly secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
